Congratulations to our own Cathryn Thomas on gaining notable success at the recent Golfing Union of Wales,Welsh Ladies Senior's Open Championships at Porthmadog Golf Club. Overall she was tied 20th with her gross score and 12th best of the Welsh entries, beating the legendary Vivien Saunders with her gross score. The European Tour has "The Race to Dubai" and we at Glynhir have our "Race to Glory" where the two most consistent golfers in this summer's qualifying competitions will win the Gross and Nett orders of merit respectively. This will allow the winners to bask in the adulation of their fellow members and win a modest trophy. As many multi millionaire golfers have said "golf is not all about winning millions"!!

The Penny Arcade was a huge success on Saturday, the clubhouse was full and fun was had by all

A largely sunny day saw an entry of 69 contest the Men's August Medal, and the Ladies also played their President's Bowl medal in perfect conditions with the course at its best.

What a fantastic day at Glynhir yesterday a record 98 entries for the Club Championship! After all the effort and drama of 36 holes of golf with scores counted and verified we had another worthy champion in Dylan Howells who displayed the class to also win the Nett Championship.
